This year we noticed a fair number of reviews that appeared to be generated with the aid of an LLM tool. Some of these were ultimately reasonably good, but others contained inaccuracies. Sometimes we had difficulty getting these reviewers to participate during the discussion phase to improve the reviews. We will provide some context and open the floor to discussion about what, if anything should be changed about our policy regarding use of these tools when writing reviews. In addition, we would like to discuss with the community how we might work to encourage more reviewing participation and increase the quality of reviews.
