This half day event invites faculty interested in engaging with and adopting equitable grading practices to join faculty who have already adopted these practices in their classrooms for a half day of learning and planning. In this year’s session, we will focus on showcasing practices that members of our community of practice have already been using. We will guide new members through our equitable grading practices playbook and encourage new participants to select one of the practices to implement for the upcoming academic year and join a group of faculty who will implement the same practice. By the end of the meeting, new members to the community will have planned for adoption of the new practice and will work with their team to meet several times between the event and through the end of the calendar year to discuss implementation and work through challenges.
