Zhikai is a current PhD student in Computer Science at NC State. His research focuses on improving the learning experience of Computer Science Education for both students and instructors. Specifically, he is interested in analyzing student’s help-seeking behavior(especially office hours) through data mining techniques. Prior to his PhD program, Zhikai also got his Master’s degree at NC State in 2020 under the guidance of Dr.Collin Lynch, Dr.Sarah Heckman, and Dr.Tiffany Barnes. His work has been published on EDM, SIGCSE, and JEDM.
