Dr. Perry Shank is the Senior Director of Research and Development for CodeVA and designs learning experiences for educators and learners specific to computer science integration and content knowledge. He has worked with the Virginia Department of Education as a consultant on the VA State Computer Science K-12 Standards, Digital Learning Integration Standards, and Data Science Standards and is currently on the 2026 CSTA Computer Science Standards writing team. Perry is also the PI on several NSF grants that focus on broadening participation through teacher endorsement and computer science integration in public K-12 settings. Dr. Shank works at CodeVA with an amazing team of curriculum developers, writers, and researchers to provide resources and learning experiences for learners in Virginia’s K-12 schools.
