Bio:

Earl Huff Jr is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Austin’s School of Information. He received his Ph.D. in Human Centered Computing from Clemson University and my M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science from Rowan University.

Earl’s research is in human-computer interaction, computing education, and broadening participation. His research examines how to apply a human-centered approach to design, develop, and evaluate equitable and inclusive information and communication technology (ICT). He primarily focuses on inclusion and access for persons from historically underserved populations such as marginalized racial and ethnic groups, persons with disabilities, and aging adults. Earl’s current research focuses on equity and accessibility in electronic learning (e-learning) technologies. His secondary research looks at designing, developing, and deploying interventions for increasing the awareness, interest, and self-efficacy of K-12 students in pursuing careers in computer and information science.
