A senior majoring in Computer Science and Sociology with a concentration in Data Science, Ashlyn Campbell’s academic journey is rooted in a deep commitment to advancing equity through technology. Her research interests span Human-Computer Interaction, focusing on Computing Education and Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence. She is particularly interested in co-designing solutions with underrepresented groups in computing, employing mixed-method approaches to create personalized, AI-driven tools that support targeted interventions, such as mentorship programs, developing new learning technologies to foster inclusive environments, and redefining traditional notions of belonging in computing.

Ashlyn is an active leader and participant in organizations promoting diversity in computing. She serves as the Program Manager for RISE in Computing Stars, a program she helped develop to provide workshops, mentorship opportunities, and resources to support Black women in computing. These experiences have shaped her understanding of building strong, collaborative communities to support minorities in STEM fields.

Through her work, Ashlyn aims to continue advocating for students from diverse backgrounds, empowering them to thrive in both academia and the tech industry. Her dedication to fostering inclusive spaces and leveraging technology for social equity defines her academic and professional trajectory.
