Modern applications handle enormous amounts of data, require continuous uptime, and follow agile development cycles. To address these demands, new databases, particularly NoSQL databases, have emerged over recent years. Concurrently, data modelization has also evolved to meet these modern requirements.
This session will explore schema design patterns identified through years of observing MongoDB users as they develop data models for modern applications. These patterns focus on performance optimization and the data life cycle, challenging traditional normalization concepts, data duplication, and data staleness.
Finally, we will share curriculum resources from MongoDB for Academia to support your teaching. Bring your questions!
