As the computing field grapples with systemic inequities, identity-inclusive computing (IIC) emerges as a crucial approach to creating more equitable and just technological environments. This Birds of a Feather (BoF) session brings together a diverse community of educators, administrators, advocates, and graduate students to address the urgent challenges at the intersection of identity, intersectionality, racism, bias, and discrimination in computing. Participants will engage in dynamic discussions and collaborative activities, examining current obstacles in implementing IIC initiatives, sharing successful strategies and lessons learned from peers, and exploring ways to navigate the evolving sociopolitical landscape affecting equity in computing. This BoF builds on the momentum of the 3C Fellows program, which has cultivated a community of over 250 computing professionals dedicated to dismantling harmful systems within their departments. By participating, attendees will gain invaluable insights into IIC challenges, forge connections with like-minded colleagues, and leave with concrete steps to advance equity in their institutions.
